HMIS User Training Corner: August 2024

ClientTrack Training

Thank you to everyone who has attended a virtual, webinar, or in-person HMIS training in the past month! We are now taking a moment to breathe and re-evaluate our training approaches, and are excited to continue offering you meaningful supplemental training offerings in the coming months. As a reminder, if you have staff who still need training and access to the new system:

Current HMIS Users

  • If you are a current MN HMIS user who had an active account in the former system (Community Services/ServicePoint) and you want access to the new software (ClientTrack), you are required to complete training online in Moodle.

  • Once you have submitted your Training Completion Form in Moodle, please watch your email inbox (and Junk folder just in case) for an email from Airtable Automations with your ClientTrack login information. The subject line of the email will be "User Login Credentials for ClientTrack, Minnesota's New HMIS."

New HMIS Users

  • You will find the link to register your new staff for training here on our training landing page: User Training

  • As has been our policy, please note that prospective HMIS users cannot register themselves for training. The registration form must be submitted by the new user's agency supervisor or by another currently active agency HMIS user on their behalf.

New in Moodle

The ICA MN User Training team will strive to begin producing and posting interactive video activities within the training content in Moodle in the coming months. Keep an eye out for a video on "Finding A Client" and one on "Guided Workflows in ClientTrack" coming very soon!

New on the Knowledge Base

  • The training team is also working on creating and publishing new HMIS Knowledge Base articles whenever new features and workflows are ready and released in ClientTrack.

  • An initial round of Coordinated Entry how-to guides have been posted, and an update on the status of CE activities in ClientTrack can be found in our August newsletter. However, if your local CE leadership has provided their own timeline for when CE activities will take place in HMIS, please defer to that guidance.

Live Trainings & Webinars

In response to feedback from our users, we are discontinuing our currently scheduled "Coordinated Entry in HMIS" webinars, reorganizing our training approach, and will re-start a new series of role-specific Coordinated Entry webinars beginning in September. Stay tuned for more!
