HMIS User Training

HMIS Training for Brand New Users:

To become an HMIS user, those brand new to the system will need to complete HMIS User Training. We offer training on an interactive online learning platform called Moodle. The programs and courses on the training platform will introduce users to Minnesota's HMIS through a combination of how-to guides, interactive videos, and quizzes for understanding and readiness.

Please note that prospective users cannot register themselves for training! Instead, to confirm that the information supplied to ICA is accurate and that a prospective user is truly a representative of an HMIS-participating agency, the Registration Form must be submitted by the user's agency supervisor or by another currently active agency HMIS user on their behalf.

ClientTrack Training & Access for Current HMIS Users

Required Client Track Training:  

If you are a current MN HMIS user who had an active account in the former system (Community Services/ServicePoint) and you want access to the new HMIS software ClientTrack, you are required to complete our online ClientTrack User Training!

 You can now take advantage of our convenient, self-paced, online learning platform Moodle to complete the required ClientTrack training here: Moodle 

  • All users must pass a final Quiz and submit a Training Completion Form in Moodle before being granted access to the new HMIS system after it goes live. 

  • Once you have logged into Moodle, you should see the “Required: ClientTrack HMIS Training for All Users” program on your My Courses dashboard page. The required courses are all accessible within this program.

 

Access to Moodle:  

All MN HMIS users should already have a Moodle account. If you've forgotten your password, please first try the "Lost Password" self-service function on the Moodle login page. If you have any issues logging in, email the MN Helpdesk so we can assist you.

 

Access to the new ClientTrack site: 

ICA will be sending out new ClientTrack login credentials in phases in the weeks following go-live to users who have completed the required training.

Once you have completed your ClientTrack training and submitted your Training Completion Form in Moodle, please watch your email inbox (and Junk folder just in case) for an email from Airtable Automations with your ClientTrack login information. The subject line of the email will be "User Login Credentials for ClientTrack, Minnesota's New HMIS."


Supplemental ClientTrack Training Opportunities

  • To support your online learning, we will also offer a series of Zoom webinar demos on a variety of data entry topics, throughout July and August. These will be structured as demos and will not be a replacement for the online Moodle training required for all users. See the links below to register.

  • In addition, ICA will also be scheduling on-site and virtual trainings, beginning in late July, for teams who have complex or specialized workflows that go beyond the basic intake and program enrollment. A member of ICA MN staff will reach out to arrange the logistics of these trainings as they are requested. 

  • Beginning the second week of August, we will begin to add more agency-requested live virtual and in-person trainings into the mix as well. ICA staff would be happy to join your existing staff meetings, as able, to provide short general demonstrations of the new system. 

  • These initial trainings will not be the end of your ClientTrack training - it will only be the beginning! Our team will be adding more and more content to Moodle and the MN HMIS Knowledge Base over the next several months, including articles, step-by-step guides, videos, and more.
